Taking on new challenges as 2013 starts

Hello everyone! I trust that all is going well for you as the first month of 2013 is officially over. For me, I am really looking forward to what God has in store for me and my family. It has been a month and already I am facing new experiences! Yes, so I've got this new position in a fairly new school as an Education Assistant. From what I've heard from the teachers, they were not expecting someone new this year. But yet at the same time, they felt like having an extra hand is really necessary as come next week there will be a new kid in class with a very special need indeed. And yes, God just works in wonders as to how He led me to another position and through that, He opened a door for me to come into this one which is going to be in kindergarten. It might be too bold for me to say that all is settled and that I am all ready to go for this new position. Honestly, up till now, I'm still not too sure what my working days are like, how many hours and whether will this be possible to be turned into a full time career. And I guess sometimes all I can do is to surrender it to God and just let Him lead me. And yes, I will follow Him. For "Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path...". My days with the Red Cross seemed to be getting shorter and shorter now. I will miss them (the 2 kids that I am looking after). I am still not too sure when caring for them will officially stop. But somehow, I sensed that it'll be quite soon. Other than that, life is still the same I guess. Apart from work, this summer break has been filled with many evening walks, inviting guests for lunch after service and watching movies (Hotel Translyvania, Princess and the Frog and Pirates of the Caribbean 4 again). We almost wanted to go on a road trip (just a small getaway to relax). Unfortunately, the idea was dropped and we didn't get down to planning the details. Somehow my family can never get to coordinate our timings! Okay, that was one reason. The other reason was because some of us wasn't too keen on the idea. So we've been taking summer slow and steady (my favourite life phrase). So as 2013 continue to move on, let me just encourage you to be bold and courageous as new challenges come. Yes they will be trying but I absolutely believe that with the grace of God, you will be able to overcome them. Sometimes all we can do is to trust and obey. No matter what comes along the way, let's just trust and obey. For there really is no other way. Let's not loose heart when challenges come, let's continue to make the most out of everything and do our best. Let's continue to grow in life! All the best guys and I'll write again soon :)
